The Confirmation, from the series ‘Rosa and Irma’, now in the permanent collection of The Bohusläns Museum, Sweden

I had a residency at Bohusläns Museum in Sweden with Bettina Von Zwehl in 2016/17. The exhibition closed in February, and I just found out that they want to purchase one of the pieces I made there for their permanent collection. We had a fabulous time looking through the collection, much of which is held in cold storage. I discovered some tiny, beautifully hand made dolls’ clothes from the 1920s and made a series of photographs about their creators, twins Rosa and Irma Bohlin. As always, I am drawn to eccentricity, and the sisters’ biography was intriguing. I am about to add the series to the main part of the website where there will be more information shortly.

Artist in Residence at Hestercombe House, Somerset

I have just begun my residency at Hestercombe House and Garden www.hestercombe.com The project has been in the planning stages since 2015. It took a while to secure the funding, but the money was confirmed in January.  I am very excited as I am trying new things, and the work is moving forward to unexpected places. I am working with an acting coach, a film maker and the wonderful Mark Harriot who always helps design and conceptualise my ideas.
